Recognizing the enormity of the challenges our society faces, Project Birthday NM is dedicated to making a lasting impact through our programs. While our efforts are driven by our organization’s singular focus, we spread birthday celebrations in many different ways.  Learn more about our initiatives and get involved yourself.

Project Birthday NM will bring the birthday fun to local shelters, crisis centers, and any facilities that host families and children. We bring the entire party including themed decor, food, STEM activity, birthday cake and a special gift specifically picked for the birthday child.

Boy in Costume Party

Project Birthday NM understands that there will be a rotation of families and children throughout shelters, crisis centers, and other hosting facilities.  Because of this, it may be difficult to provide a date and time to celebrate the birthday child.  In the instance that we cannot host an actual party, we will provide a birthday party kit. The kit will include a table cloth, a candle, a birthday hat, a gift, a birthday card,  and a non-perishable sweet.

Teachers too often find their students do not have an equal ratio of birthday celebrations. Project Birthday NM wants to provide Teacher Birthday Kits when children's families/guardians cannot afford a class celebration.  Each kit will include a box of a allergy-friendly sweets, a birthday crown, a birthday book mark, an "Its My Birthday " sticker, and a Happy Birthday bracelet and pencil.

Children in School

Project Birthday NM will be working with local facilities to help provide a once-a-month birthday party, or community birthday party, to the children in the community.  These parties are comparable to our shelter parties, but on a much larger scale.  Each month will carry a specific theme that will include STEM activities and learning centers. These parties will include the child's immediate family members.   Community parties can include children from all over New Mexico.
